On 12 September 2014, Ross Video announced the integration of their OverDrive Automated Production Control System and Carbonite Production Switcher Series. This integration makes automated production available to many more price sensitive customers given the lower cost of a Carbonite system versus larger production switchers.
Recent developments in both Carbonite and OverDrive make their integration possible. Carbonite’s new version 10 software release expands the system from 2 MEs to 2.5 MEs – the ideal size for automated production. While OverDrive Caprica, a new version of OverDrive extends control to Carbonite as well as production switchers from other companies.
Ross Viedo will be showing OverDrive Caprica with Carbonite at IBC 2014, which takes place from 12 to 16 September in Amsterdam.
