Until the end of November, six locally-produced Afrikaans movies feature on the big
screen during the Absoluut Afrikaans Film Festival, showcased by Ster-Kinekor
Theatres.
The film titles that make up the festival are Bakgat! 3; Molly & Wors; Musiek vir die
Agtergrond; Die Ballade van Robbie de Wee; Khumba; and As Jy Sing!, releasing on
15 November.
“Now in its second successful year, the film festival showcases some of the latest and
best Afrikaans movies. Afrikaans films continue to enjoy a strong following and are
appreciated and enjoyed by local audiences. As such, Ster-Kinekor is confident that
the titles it has packaged for the festival will continue to grow that trend,’ says
