Dog With a Blog, Disney Channel’s comedy series about a family and their talking and blogging dog premieres on DStv Channel 303 on Saturday 13 July at 08h45.
The series is told from a canine point of view as the newly adopted dog Stan recounts life with stepsiblings Tyler, Avery and Chloe and their parents Bennett and Ellen.
When Tyler and Avery discover Stan’s talents they want to keep it a secret, but when Chloe hears about their dog’s skills, she reckons it’s completely normal… But Ellen and Bennett, a psychologist, think Chloe just has an overactive imagination.
Stan gets himself and the kids into some hairy situations such as refusing to be friends with the neighbour’s dog or volunteering to be the school mascot, the kids learn how important family is and that they need to work together to keep Stan’s secret safe.
Dog With a Blog stars G Hannelius as Avery, Blake Michael as Tyler, Francesca Capaldi as Chloe, Beth Littleford as Ellen, Regan Burns as Bennett and Stephen Full as the voice of Stan.
Stan is portrayed by two canine actors, Mick, a Samoyed mix, and Kuma, a Husky / Golden Retriever / Border Collie mix, both of whom were adopted from a shelter.
The series is executive produced by Emmy-winning producer Michael B. Kaplan (Frasier, Roseanne, and Disney XD’s I’m In The Band).
