Big Concerts has announced that a fifth and final date has been added to John Cleese Live in Johannesburg presented by Talk Radio 702 and SABC3 at the Teatro at Montecasino on Sunday 23 June at 13h30.
The show, in which Cleese elaborates on his roles in Monty Python’s Flying Circus and Fawlty Towers, also includes revelations about the hit movie A Fish Called Wanda and other controversial and hilarious subjects. The comedic legend will also answer audience questions.
Apart from his performances, Cleese will be promoting the release of Spud 2 in which he reprises the role of The Guv (Mr Edly). The movie screens from 21 June and is the much awaited coming-of-age sequel to Spud.
The second film in the franchise is written and directed by Donovan Marsh, produced by Ross Garland and based on the novel by John van de Ruit. The movie will be distributed by Nu Metro nationwide.
