The new action drama series, Nikita, featuring international action star Maggie Q
(Live Free or Die Hard, Mission Impossible 3) in the title role as a trained assassin
gone rogue screens every Sunday at 19h30 on SABC3.
A secret US agency, known only as Division, rescues deeply troubled teenager Nikita
and takes her to a hidden facility, training her to be a spy and assassin. Claiming that
she is being given the opportunity to begin a new life serving her country, Division
fakes Nikita’s execution and gives her a secret identity.
However, the agency wants to take Nikita’s humanity from her, and even kills the man
she loves. Realising that she has been betrayed by the only people she thought she
could trust, she does what no one else has been able to do – she escapes from
Division.
Now, after three years in hiding, Nikita wants revenge and will stop at nothing to
expose her former bosses and destroy their covert operation.
Nikita also stars Lyndsy Fonseca (Kick-Ass, Hot Tub Time Machine, Desperate
Housewives), Shane West (ER, Once and Again, The League of Extraordinary
Gentlemen), Aaron Stanford (X-Men: The Last Stand, The Hills Have Eyes), Ashton
