Let Heaven Wait, a new locally produced comedy series from Revolution Real
Entertainment in association with Vusion Media screens on SABC3 on Thursdays at
20h00 from 16 May 2013.
Two retirees, Elias Malema (Jerry Mofokeng) and Pete Smith (Neville Thomas),
discover that they are co-owners of an old age home, thanks to their late broker. The
two have big plans for the property, something they feel they have to develop before
kicking the bucket. Therefore heaven must wait while they struggle to live out their
dreams.
However, Elias’ exclusive jazz club and Pete’s organic vegetable haven and spa are
brought to a screeching halt when their ownership proves insufficient to grant either
of them controlling power of the property, as the remaining 10% is held in trust to
safeguard the home’s residents under the care of the no-nonsense general manager
Mary-Anne Anderson (Dianne Simpson). Elias and Pete will do whatever it takes to
get rid of each other; even it means sometimes collaborating to get rid of the
residents first.
The series was directed by veteran Maynard Kraak and co-produced by Tshepo
Mokoena and Vusi Zion.
Let Heaven Wait stars Jerry Mofokeng (Elias Matume Malema), Neville Thomas (Pete
Wilberforce Smith), Dianne Simpson (Mary-Anne ‘Mary’ Anderson), Royston Stoffels
