The fifth season of the hilarious, multi award-winning comedy series, 30 Rock, screens on SABC3 from Tuesday 2 April at 20h00.
Writer and actress Tina Fey stars as variety show producer Liz Lemon who has to contend with her eccentric boss, top network executive, Jack Donaghy, portrayed by Alec Baldwin. Lemon constantly has her hands full juggling corporate interference from Donaghy and crazy antics from Tracy Morgan, the star of her show, TGS with Tracy Jordan, while she attempts to maintain her personal life.
The hit show also features Jane Krakowski as Jenna Maroney, co-star of TGS with Tracy Jordan; Scott Adsit as the variety show’s producer Pete Hornberger; Jack McBrayer as Kenneth the overeager and endearing NBC page; Judah Friedlander as Frank, the slacker on the writing staff; and Keith Powell as Toofer, the sophisticated and sarcastic Harvard-alumni writer.
Season five continues with Liz in a relationship with Carol (Matt Damon), Jack’s wedding shenanigans, while the TGS show celebrates its 100th episode as Tracy becomes a father and finally gets an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony).
The executive producers of the show are Lorne Michaels (Saturday Night Live), Tina Fey, Marci Klein (Saturday Night Live), David Miner (Human Giant) and Robert Carlock (Friends).
