Pay-TV sports broadcaster SuperSport is rolling out two 24-hour channels dedicated to the 14th edition of the UEFA European Football Championships. SuperSport will broadcast all 31 Euro 2012 games between 8 June and 1 July across Sub-Saharan Africa in English and Portuguese on the two channels – SuperSport High Definition 3 and SuperSport 3.
Netherlands’ Euro 1980 captain Ruud Krol and England’s Euro 1988 left winger John Barnes will form part of SuperSport’s world class analysts who also include Kalusha Bwalya, Gavin Hunt, Jomo Sono, Ernst Middendorp, Daniel Amokachi and Efan Ekoku alongside resident analysts Gary Bailey, Andre Arendse, Shaun Bartlett and Bradley Carnell.
The proven tactical acumen of the panel of specialists will also be used on Master Plan, a show dedicated to understanding the tactics to be employed by the 16 competing nations.
A second magazine show, Euro Zone, will take the form of a round-table debate that will allow Euro fans with close ties to the participating nations, like former England striker Terry Paine, and others, the opportunity to discuss the performances of the nations they are affiliated to.
Through social media platforms, viewers will also get their opportunity on Euro Zone to engage with like-minded people with regard to the performances of their teams.
