A24 Media, producer of the long-running pan-African news magazine programme, Africa Journal, has entered into a new partnership with NBS News in India.

An A24 statement reads: “This will bring the finest news coverage from the Indian subcontinent to an emerging Africa with strong economic ties to that region. It will also create an opportunity for Indian broadcasters to access A24 Media’s first class coverage of our continent.’

This partnership will allow African television stations to cater for the continent’s large Indian diaspora by providing news of Bollywood celebrities, cricket stars, titans of industry and political heavyweights.

NBS’s digital content is likely to be in great demand as African broadcasters migrate from analogue to digital broadcasting and new channels look for unique programming.

“We also aggregate and produce thousands of feature stories, dozens of documentaries, with exciting new programmes appearing frequently,’ says the A24 Media statement.

It further states that NBS News has been a pioneer in multi-platform efforts in its region, which makes it an ideal partner for A24 Media, which has online, mobile and television platforms.

The relationship between A24 Media and NBS is expected to bring people, business and cultures together, as viewers across Africa get a more in-depth view of the Indian subcontinent and vice versa. Report by Martin Chemhere
