The sixth and final season of Emmy winning US drama Nip/Tuck, created by Ryan Murphy, will start on SABC3 on 26 October at 10pm.
The series focuses on McNamara/Troy, a plastic surgery practice, and follows its founders, Sean McNamara and Christian Troy. Each episode typically involves the cosmetic procedures of one or more patients, and also features the personal and professional lives of its main cast.
The show began in the summer of 2003, and concluded with the sixth season in Spring 2010. While the show was initially set in Miami, at the end of the fourth season the practice was relocated to Los Angeles and many of the characters have followed.
As the drama continues for its sixth season, successful plastic surgeons Christian Troy and Sean McNamara are beginning to feel the strain of the crumbling economy now that they have finally settled their practice in Beverly Hills from Miami and gotten used to the way business is done in sunny California.
The series stars Dylan Walsh, Julian McMahon, Joely Richardson, John Hensley, Roma Maffia and Kelly Carlson.
