Former Idols contestant Sindi Nene, a top 3 runner-up in 2010, will make an appearance on M-Net soapie The Wild on Thursday 6 October.
She plays herself and gets invited by Marang (Connie Ferguson) to perform at a function for the rich and famous at Dinaledi Lodge. Marang enlists Lelo (Gail Nkoane) to help with the function and together they manage to get the talented Sindi Nene to perform for the guests.
During her music career of four years, Sindi has made a name for herself as one of South Africa’s youngest musically educated artists, a composer, lyricist, arranger, band leader and female bass player. Since Idols she has earned the praise of many local artists and producers, including Arthur Mafokate, who said: “She is the dream of every SA producer’.
“My experience on The Wild was the best, I loved everything about it’ says Sindi after her day on set. “I enjoyed working with Connie Ferguson as I grew up watching her on television and for me to have the opportunity to be on set with her was like a little girl’s dream come true.’
The Wild is on M-Net at 6pm from Monday to Thursday, with repeats at 11am Tuesday to Friday, and an omnibus on Saturday and Sunday.
