Production houses, artists and arts practitioners are requested to submit proposals for the 18th Absa KKNK, which takes place in Oudtshoorn from 31 March to 7 April 2012. The Absa KKNK welcomes proposals in a variety of genres, including visual arts, drama, dance, musical theatre and music.
According to Theo Kemp, Programme manager of the Absa KKNK, a new heritage project is being planned. “The main goal of the project is to explore local and regional stories and character through the arts, as well as developing the artistic talent in the broader Klein Karoo region in all ways possible.”
Those interested can send a motivation of 500 words to Kemp before 22 August 2011. The application process is now free of charge for artists.
