A new season of the popular US competitive reality series Survivor starts on SABC3 on Monday 27 June and will run for 15 episodes.
Emmy Award-winning host Jeff Probst returns for the eighteenth season and will join sixteen Americans from different walks of life stranded in the Brazilian Highlands for 39 days.
Tocantins is billed as one of the most rugged locations ever visited with scorching temperatures, torrential downpours and dangerous wildlife such as vipers, crocodiles and pumas. The only relief from these harsh conditions will be a river oasis known as the Rio Novo.
The new castaways have already been divided into two tribes: Jalapao, in red, and Timbira, in black.
