South African actress Terry Pheto will join the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful from 13 June to play a recurring role as a South African heart surgeon on the popular soap.
Writers of the series have confirmed that Pheto, star of the Oscar winning film Tsotsi, will star in scenes that will air in South Africa in 2012. Pheto is already in Los Angeles preparing for the role.
The addition of a South African character is reportedly part of The Bold and the Beautiful’s strategy to “engage their South African fan base in a direct manner’.
