Web research firm ComScore has released its latest report which reveals the country that spends more time online than any other. Is it the US? Is it the UK, China or India? No, it’s Canada.
The report shows that Canadians spent, on average, 43.5 hours online per user between October and December 2010 – more than twice the worldwide average. Much of this online activity is attributed to Internet users over the age of 55.
The US was the second biggest user with an average of 35.5 hours per user over the same period, followed by the UK with 32.3 hours and South Korea with 27.7 hours.
This is not the first time that Canada has been the biggest Internet user, it also had that distinction in 2009. At present Canada has 23 million Internet users.
