Rwanda will be a hive of activity in the next three weeks as cadets from eight African states dazzle in a quest for continental supremacy and spots at the World Cup in the ninth edition of the Caf U-17 Championships.
The 2011 installment of the bi-annual tournament features defending champions Gambia, hosts Rwanda, Egypt, Senegal, Congo, Burkina Faso, Cote D’Ivoire and Mali. The action kicks off on Saturday, 8 January and will be captured live on World of Champions, SuperSport.
The semi finalists will represent the continent at the FIFA U-17 World Cup scheduled for June and July in Mexico.
