Pay-TV service, TopTV, will launch Top Star, a new bouquet that will feature the best programming from India for Tamil and Hindi viewers, on.Monday 1 November.
Top Star will consist of four new channels in the South African market — Star Plus (a Hindi general entertainment channel), Star Gold (the best Bollywood movies), Star Vijay (a Tamil general entertainment channel) as well as Channel [V] (a music channel).
Ian Woodrow, General Manager of Channels says “We are very excited to be able to introduce India’s most popular channels to our platform.’ He adds, “This is a huge coup for us in terms of the varied, innovative and engaging programming these channels will bring to the TopTV subscriber.’
From 1 November until the end of December the new bouquet will be free for all Top-TV subscribers. As from 1 January 2011, the entire bouquet will be available at the low cost of R60 per month.
