A two day actor-friendly workshop – Accessing Your Creative Power – will be held at the Katz School of Dance, 60 Rivonia Rd, Sandhurst Johannesburg on 30 and 31 October and again 6 and 7 November, from 9am to 5pm.
The workshop will show you how to access and unlock your potential; how to interpret and work with the blocks that inhibit you; how to push the boundaries of the beliefs that limit you; how to release negative emotions that stifle your potential and creative interpretations; that your fears are important but that it is courage which frees you; what TOOLS and METHODS you can use in preparation for auditions; seeking truth in communication in characterisation; the importance and discipline in rehearsals; the usefulness of verbs; that there is ALWAYS an “in’ to a character; your voice and how effectively to use it; how to actively seek truth in performance; how to identify and then release yourself from the blocks that inhibit you; how to step into your power and stay there; and MANY more personal treasures guaranteed to change your Vision of the world and yourself as an artist.
For a limited time only, this introductory full two-day workshop is R750.00.
There is a R345 deposit which secures your space (this is non-refundable).
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in (no jeans / restricting pants and tops), pen and notepad.
Money for lunch and tea – there is a tuck shop at the studio.
A MAXIMUM of 20 workshop attendants will be permitted so that every individual receives the attention they need. Bookings are ESSENTIAL as spaces are limited.
