Four weeks in release and a cumulative box office of R20.2m – that’s the superb box office performance of Leon Schuster’s latest comedy, Schuks Tshabalala’s Survival Guide to South Africa.
It was the top performer at the local box office for the weekend of 18 to 20 June. New release, the Chris Rock/ Martin Lawrence comedy, Death at a Funeral, which made R950,340 over that weekend, came in second.
In third place was Marmaduke, followed by Prince of Persia and Killers. To date Prince of Persia has made R10m over five weeks, Sex and the City 2 R6.4m over four weeks and Robin Hood R6.9m over six weeks.
