Pay-TV broadcaster SuperSport is flighting a new reality show in which eight contestants from around the world undertake a 28-day treasure hunt in South Africa to find tickets for the 2010 FIFA World matches at nine different stadia.
The contestants from Chase the Makarapa have already scored tickets to last week’s Kick-off Concert at Orlando Stadium after a Sony PS3 and Foosball showdown, and attended the Opening Match at Soccer City by completing a task at Gold Reef City in the south of Johannesburg. They’ve visited the Cradle of Humankind, the Sterkfontein Caves and even ridden elephants (who gave them tickets to the Serbia vs Ghana game at Loftus Versveld).
The contestants include a South African radio presenter, a DJ from India, a Brazilian journalist, a Chinese sportswomen, a South African sportsman, a Polish dental student, a South African sports enthusiast, and a Nigerian student.
