The V&A Waterfront World Media & Legacy Centre has been established to assist Media and Business to have phenomenal, memorable experiences in Cape and thereby positively influencing the way South Africa is perceived in the international arena. To assist in this positive messaging and branding, the V&A Waterfront World Media & Legacy Centre is issuing a call for video and photographic content. The first deadline for delivery of content is: Wednesday 31 March.
To drive positive messages and branding of Cape Town and South Africa generally, the V&A Waterfront World Media & Legacy Centre is creating an Online Content Management System that will offer rights-free Video and Photographs for download to international media.
The Centre therefore is calling for Producers and Photographers to propose rights-free Video and Photographic content – aerial footage, timelapse, landmarks, population and society / culture, lifestyle and tourism imagery is particularly sought after. High Definition and Standard Definition Video will be used as B-roll, and should be delivered for this purpose. (ie no edited programming at this point) All clips should be no smaller than 5 seconds and be an average of 15 to 30 seconds. Photographs should be .dng or large quality .jpeg format.
Images and photographs should be rights-free; each download will generate income directly for the contributing filmmaker / photographer.
All content must be presented on hard disk. The opening deadline for the delivery of the first block of content by interested parties is Wednesday 31 March at 3pm. Online content is most in demand in the run-up to and after the event; time is therefore of the essence.
