The classic scene in the movie When Harry Met Sally when Meg Ryan fakes an orgasm in a cafe, is the inspiration for a new PG Tips commercial in the UK.
PG Tips has enlisted the well known combination of Monkey and Johnny Vegas to mimic the fake orgasm scene. The campaign, created by ad agency Mother, has created a virtual replica of the cafe and shows Monkey drinking PG Tips. The tea sends Monkey into the realms of delight.
The ad, was screened in the UK two weeks ago and will air in 20, 30 and 40 second versions for the rest of this month. It is being used to kick off a campaign about how consumers would describe tea’s taste.
