Search engine and content aggregator Google appears to be addressing the worldwide crisis faced by newspapers and news services caused by “free’ news found on the Internet. In a collaboration with the New York Times and Washington Post, Google is launching Living Stories, a new way of presenting news online which is based on how stories develop.
Acccording to The Guardian, UK, Living Stories groups content around keywords such as “the war on terror’, for example. Content is brought together in a story summary, in order of importance.
Each page on Living Stories is personalised according to user reading patterns.
