Award-winning head writer Neil McCarthy is running his popular annual Screenwriting Course starting on Saturday, 31 October in Johannesburg. This intensive interactive course runs over four Saturday mornings and is designed to give a comprehensive overview of the world of screenwriting.
Although mainly focused on writing for television, as this is where most professional opportunities lie in South Africa, skills acquired will also apply to writing for feature film. The course is also ideal for script editors or those employed in a production or commissioning environment, who may not write but who need a thorough understanding of the process involved in producing a workable script.

McCarthyis currently head writer on Rhythm City and was previously head writer on the successful local series Mzansi, Zero Tolerance and Isidingo.
