The days of mass market mobile TV have arrived, according to a report from Telegent Systems and market research film In-Stat. The research maintains that the adoption of analogue mobile TV would result in a global mobile TV user base of 54 million consumers in 2009. This figure could grow to 300 million users by 2013.
Of the current mobile TV users surveyed, it emerged that mobile TV was watched at least three times a week, with 20% of respondents watching daily. News and sports are popular genres on mobile TV although users want a mix of genres on offer. (Source: C2M Bi-Weekly News)
