After eight weeks of release on the South African cinema circuit, the animated Ice Age 3 (including 3D) has made a huge R25.5m. However, it was only in seventh place during the weekend of 21 to 23 August.
The big earner over that weekend, as in the previous weekend, was the action effects movie G.I. Joe, which made R1.7m. Next up was the animated G-Force (including 3D) at R869,005.
In third place was My Sister’s Keeper at R690,969, followed by The Proposal (R659,948) and new release, Year One (R327,870).
Harry Potter 6, on release for six weeks, has accumulated R13.1m thus far.
