The Department of Communications (DoC) has issued a notice in the Government Gazette, extending the deadline for Public Submissions in respect of the Public Service Broadcasting Discussion document. The deadline for public submission is extended to 31 August 2009.
All interested stakeholders and the general public are invited to make submissions on the Public Service Broadcasting Discussion Document published in the Government Gazette on 20 July 2009. This consultation process serves to inform the policy process that seeks to amend the Broadcasting Act of 1999, as announced by the Minister of Communications, General (Ret) Siphiwe Nyanda during his Budget Vote Speech on 23 June 2009 in Parliament.
The Gazette is obtainable from www.doc.gov.za and /or First floor Block A3; IParioli Office Park, 1166 Park Street, Hatfield Pretoria.
