The Loerie Awards, South Africa’s premier brand communication awards which take place from 24 to 27 September in Cape Town, has announced the Judging Panel for the Communication Design category.
Jim Sutherland, co-founder of Hat-trick Design, is the Jury Chairman. The Panel comprises: Janet Kinghorn, Creative Director, Coley Porter Bell; Janine Rech, Creative Director, Cross Colours; Shelley Atkinson, Head of Design, Grid; Maciek Michalski, Creative Director, Joe Public; Gary Harwood, Director, HKLM; Gaby de Abreu, Creative Director & Co-Founder, Switch Design; Roger Jardine, Partner, Disturbance Design, Jenny Elhers, Creative Director, King James; Veejay Archary, CEO, Black; Iaan Bekker, Creative Director, Brand Wealth; Rudo Botha, Co-founder, REX; Renay Kneale, Creative Director, Brainwave Communications; Sanjiv Mistry, Copywriter, Ogilvy; Mariana O’Kelly, Creative Director, Net#work BBDO; Joanne Thomas, Creative Director, The Jupiter Drawing Room; and Greg Gamble, Managing Director & Owner, Tonic Design.
The Loeries judging will take place in Johannesburg at Vega, The Brand Communications School, from 13 to 17 July 2009 and Judges Seminar will take place at the AAA School of Advertising on the 13th of July.
The finalists will be announced on 22nd July and the winners will receive their awards at the Festival Weekend, which will take place in Cape Town from Thursday the 24th to 27th of September.
