After five weeks of release the new South Africa film, White Wedding, is still going strong. As at 7 June it had made R4.4m at the local box office. It reached the number two spot on the Ster-Kinekor Top 8 for the week 29 May and 4 June and the number six spot in the Combined Top 10.
For the weekend of 5 to 7 June, it made the number three spot in the Ster-Kinekor Top 8 and the seventh spot in the Combined Top 10.
Meanwhile, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the Hollywood blockbuster directed by South Africa’s Gavin Hood, has made R9.9m to date.
The biggest earner for the weekend 5 to 7 June was new release Terminator: Salvation, which made R2m.
