South Africa’s premier brand communication awards, the Loeries, are calling on creatives aged 27 years or younger to enter their work for the Young Creatives Awards. Entries can be in the categories of Advertising, Communication Design and Experiential.
In this way the Loeries will identify the best new talent emerging from the region (ie. South Africa, the rest of the continent and the Middle East). The two winners will each walk away with a Gold Loerie at the Loeries Festival Weekend which takes place from 24 to 27 September in Cape Town. In addition, each winner will receive an all expenses paid trip to an international award show.
One of last year’s winners, Darren Cronje from Network BBDO, is currently in New York at the One Show. Second winner Simone Rossum from Joe Public is scheduled to visit Cannes later this year.
This is the third year of the Young Creatives Award. Says Loeries MD Andrew Human: ‘’The Loeries are very passionate about developing and nurturing young creative talent as this ensures the future growth and sustainability of the industry.”
This award is sponsored by the Loeries and there is no entry fee. Young Creatives, 27 or under, need to submit a portfolio of their professional work from the last three years. All submissions must reach The Loerie Awards no later than 30 June 2009.
