Following many months of expectations that the board of South African public broadcaster SABC would be dissolved by parliament comes an announcement from ANC spokeperson and national executive committee member Jesse Duarte that the issue will only be addressed after South Africa’s general elections on 22 April.

The SABC board ran foul of parliament last year because of its continued interference in the broadcaster’s senior executive management. SABC board deputy chairperson Christine Qunta resigned last week, following the earlier resignation of fellow board member Peter Vundla. (Source: The Star)
