Anyone in Hollywood who was hopeful that the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) would finally reach a feature-primetime deal with the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers (AMPTP) would have been disappointed to hear that this week’s resumed negotiations collapse.

SAG’s last contract expired on 30 June 2008 and it wants the new contract to expire on 30 June 2011. The AMPTP has refused, wanting the new deal to last a full three years. (Source: Variety)
