As at 18 January, the new South African Afrikaans-language film Vaatjie Sien sy Gat had made R1.9m at the local box office.
Meanwhile, the local blockbuster, Mr Bones 2, continues its blitz at the box office, having made a massive R32.8m by the end of 18 January.
The top earner for the weekend in question was new release Transporter 3 which generated a cool R1.9m, followed by the Reese Witherspoon/ Vince Vaughn comedy romance, Anywhere But Home with a more modest R764,279.
The Jim Carrey comedy Yes Man earned R691 093 and the new Coen Brothers film, Burn After Reading, R479,847. (Figures supplied by SAFACT)
