Upton gets catalogue rights for World Wide Entertainment

One of Australia’s largest producers and distributors of traditional and new media content for the international market, World Wide Entertainment has inked a multiple year deal with South African company Upton International Sports & Entertainment. Upton has purchased of the World Wide Entertainment catalogue for African territories.

Effective from the 1January 2009, this agreement will see Upton exclusively represent and sell the entire World Wide Entertainment programme catalogue in African territories until 31 December 2010. Upton also has options to purchase the same rights beyond 2010.

“Upton is a very reputable company with a long and successful track record in the global media market,’ says World Wide Entertainment Managing Director Jonathan Hutchings. “World Wide Entertainment’s extensive library of titles covering a range of genres will provide Upton with the content to approach a broad client base. Upton’s presence and reputation will ensure that the entire World Wide catalogue is extremely well represented in African territories over the next 24 months.’

Upton International Sports & Entertainment will retain exclusive distribution rights over all existing and newly produced World Wide Entertainment programmes in African territories for the two year period commencing 1January 2009.
