Following his suspension of SABC Group Executive of news and current affairs Snuki Zikalala, SABC Group CEO Dali Mpofu has himself been suspended by the board of the public broadcaster.
According to board chairperson Kanyi Mkonza, Mpofu was suspended for failing to implement the decisions of the board. An investigation into “very serious allegations about the conduct of the GCEO’ will be conducted over the next 30 days.
This is the latest development in alleged squabbles between the board and Mpofu, the board and the parliamentary committee on communications and between Mpofu and Zikalala. (Source: Business Day)
