The South African box office week of 21 to 27 March was dominated by former professional wrestler Dwayne The Rock Johnson and his family comedy, Game Plan. It made R3.6m in its opening week.
In second place was the urban dance saga, Step up 2 the Streets, which has made R5.3m in two weeks.
Not faring quite so impressively is Roland Emmerich’s 10 000 BC, which was shot in South Africa, and made R2.6m after one week.
The Kate Hudson / Matthew McConaughey comedy Fool’s Gold is in fourth place, followed by the fantasy adventure, The Spiderwick Chronicles.
