As Hollywood braces itself for the possibility of an actors’ strike, relations between the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and the American Federation of Television & Radio Artists (AFTRA) have worsened, with the latter suspending its joint bargaining agreement with SAG.
To date the two actors’ unions have jointly negotiated with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP). AFTRA will now negotiate its prime time TV contract alone.
