According to the Hollywood Reporter, Endemols’ UK division has acquired a 40% stake in digital production company Pure Grass Films. A 20-part horror series will be released on 17 April on MySpace TV by Pure Grass, which is titled Beyond the Rave with funding from Hammer Films. Thereafter an international DVD release will follow.
Pure Grass is a company founded in 2005 by Tom and Ben Grass. Endemol’s UK CEO Tim Hincks states that the deal is part of their digital strategy. This is the second deal from Endemol UK’s digital media investment fund.
