For the first time ever, the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) will partner with public broadcaster SABC and pay-TV channel M-Net in hosting a South African national stand at MIPTV, the premier international TV programming market which takes place in Cannes, France from 4 to 11 April.
This is in line with the NFVF’s responsibility to facilitate co-operation of different entities at national platforms. The NFVF will continue discussions with other broadcasters, including new broadcasters on their participation at MIPTV and its sister market MIPCOM and to provide an opportunity to be a partner on the South African stand.
Following MIPTV, the NFVF will present a model for national pavilions that will be operated at MIPTV, MIPCOM and the Cannes film Festival.
