The Finer Things, Tim Mostert’s series of 104 three-minute shorts focussing on the History of Art and Design, has been nominated for this year’s final competition of the MIPCOM Mobile and Internet TV Awards- Best Short Form Entertainment Factual category, taking place from 8 – 12 October in Cannes, France.
This year’s competition received over 280 entries from 38 countries submitted by 180 companies. and the other two finalists in the category with The Finer Things are the BBC, and a co-production between Film Australia and the National Film Board of Canada.
The Finer Things has already been pre-sold to several TV and mobile networks in South Africa and the US, and an Afrikaans version is in production.
