Just when you thought the Hollywood awards season was over, comes the news that Oscar/Golden Globe/SAG winners for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress – Forest Whitaker (“The Last King of Scotland’) and Jennifer Hudson (“Dreamgirls’) – have been honoured again.
This time the triumphant twosome scored at the 28th Annual NAACP Image Awards held in Los Angeles on 2 March. These awards honour the achievements of Afro-Americans and other minorities in the field of entertainment in general.
Keke Palmer won the best actress trophy for “Akeelah and the Bee’, Djimon Hounsou won best supporting actor for “Blood Diamond’ and best picture went to Will Smith’s “The Pursuit of Happyness’.
