Endemol Shine Africa, the makers of Isidingo, SABC3’s weekday soapie, is making changes to the team driving the award winning drama series.
Rohan Dickson, head writer, will take over the reigns as executive producer from
Pumla Hopa who will be moving to the production company’s Randburg head office,
where she’ll work on a number of projects within the Scripted Entertainment
division, headed up by Sam Shale. Leo Phiri has also been promoted into the role of
producer on the series.
As the show’s head writer for the past two years, Dickson is the perfect person to
lead Isidingo to even greater heights than it has enjoyed since he first
joined the show. “The combined strengths of Rohan and Leo will lead
Isidingo into a new era,’ Edemol Shine CEO Sivan Pillay said. “It’s an
exciting time for cast and crew alike.’
Dickson was tasked with rebuilding the writing team two years ago. “I assembled a
diverse collective of creative people,’ he recalled. “Some of whom are award
winning writers with decades of experience.’

Isidingo airs Monday through Friday at 19h00 on SABC3.
