Online registration is now open for the 12th edition of DISCOP Africa to take place in Abidjan from 31 May to 2 June.
DISCOP, the market and co-production forum for feature films, TV programmes, adaptation rights and packaged TV channels commerce, is dedicated to Africa’s fast emerging multi-screen and multi-platform marketplace. The market was launched in 2008 and takes place twice a year, in Abidjan at the Sofitel Ivoire Hotel, and in Johannesburg at the Sandton Convention Centre.
Thousands of delegates from 70 countries driving multi-platform, multi-screen entertainment business across Africa are expected to attend DISCOP Abidjan 2016 and the general programme will include:
• DISCOP’s flagship conference dubbed as the Television Summit to feature a series of keynotes, talks and panel discussions with industry leaders and visionary entrepreneurs on par with the radical changes Africa is experiencing.
• The DISCOPRO pitching, learning and matchmaking programme offered to established and up-and-coming independent production talent, and the Meet Your Stars day featuring presentations of upcoming TV shows in the presence of the talent attached to these shows.
The organisation of meetings between buyers, sellers and producers will begin on Monday, 18 April 2016. Early registration is recommended.
