Ghanaian make-up artist Blessing Felicia Ndinyah, also known as Blessing
Mastermind, was recently given the Best Make-Up Artist award at the Nollywood and
African Film Critics’ Awards (NAFCA’s), for her work on the film Obaapa
Nisuo. Commonly known as The African Oscars, the awards recognise
outstanding individuals in the industry, and are held in California, US.
Ndinyah has been a make-up artist to many Ghanaian stars such as: Nana Ama
MacBrown, Bill Asamoah, Agya Koo, Lil Win, Akrobeto, Emelia Brobbey, Vivian Jill,
Kwaku Manu, Kyeiwaa, Mercy Asiedu, Ellen White, Gloria Sarfo, Micheal Afrane,
Christiana Awuni and Maame Serwah.
According to Ghanaweb.com, she remarked that, “A make-up artist sometimes plays
a little equal role in directing and also makes acting a bit easier because a make-up
artist is a person who creates make-up and artificial effects for theatrical
performance, movies and for television.’
Ndinyah dedicated her award to She-Films, Naana Brown, Prophet Derick Fosu,
Emmanuel Films, Ghana Film Crew Association (GHAFCA), late Rev. Gordon Foster
Ndinyah, her mother, Rosemond Agyemang, and her fans.
