The Sunny Side of the Doc is an international factual content market where industry professionals gather to sell or buy projects and programmes, and to find potential partners. The event takes place from 23 to 26 June in La Rochelle, France and will feature conference sessions, pitch competitions, presentations, screenings and special events.
Over 2000 delegates are expected to attend the 2014 25th anniversary edition, including 300 commissioners and buyers from over 60 countries.
Panels and workshop sessions will take place on 24, 25 and 26 June featuring broadcasters and producers who will examine key developments in the genres of history, science and world affairs programming.
Guided by expert moderators, creative teams will have the opportunity to pitch their projects in development at seven pitching sessions which will take place throughout the week.
Presentations on programme and commissioning strategy from major broadcasters, France Televisions and the Canal + group, are a regular feature of the market.
Breakfast sessions during the week provide ample networking opportunities with producers from Australia, South Africa, Canada, South Korea, Brazil and Morocco.
The 25th anniversary party takes place on 26 June following the awards ceremony which will celebrate the best pitches.
