The AFDA film, television and performance school in Johannesburg will feature a new 75-seater theatre at its mini-festival, which runs from 8 to 17 May.
A line-up of plays will feature over the 10-day festival as a representation of the reintroduced theatre-training programme. All plays will begin at 19h30 and will include performances of The Epicene Butcher and Other Stories for Consenting Adults, State of the Heart, The Line and Skierlik.
At the helm of the Live Performance School is theatre director and academic Greg Homann, while the Screen Acting, Stage Acting and Music Performance departments are chaired by actress Linda Sokhulu, actor David Dennis and singer Judith Sephuma.
Festival tickets cost R80, or R50 for students.
