kykNET is proud to present the 4th annual Silwerskermfees, an opportunity to celebrate the burgeoning South African film industry.
During its existence, the Silwerskermfees has proved itself as a renowned local film festival and aims not only to increase the exposure of young talent but to create an opportunity for dialogue between young upcoming filmmakers and established names within the industry.
Furthermore, the festival strives for an outcome of innovative collaborations that nurtures and helps the filmmakers of the future.
Entries for short films and existing work open on 14 April and all filmmakers are encouraged to enter their proposals or to use this opportunity to enter existing work.
Proposals and films that are accepted by the festival will be shown during the Silwerskermfees in Camps Bay from 27 to 30 August and will be broadcast on DStv channels later this year.
Entry forms are available on the Silwerskermfees website at http://kyknet.dstv.com/category/programme/silwerskermfees/.
