Deza Magqabi is the winner of Screen Africa’s South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTA) ticket competition. Magqabi will attend the awards, which honours exceptional talent in the industry, on Friday 4 April at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand.
Entrants were asked to post their best South African film or television moment to the Screen Africa Facebook page. Magqabi’s post not only highlighted the South African film, iNumber Number, which has received both local and international praise and showcased the high calibre talent in South Africa, but revealed his interest and support for the industry at large.
Magqabi wrote: “My Best South African Film Moment was the screening of the movie “iNumber Number” at the First Wednesday Film Club, at the Atlas Studios. And also being able to experience the filming of the movie AVENGERS right here in our own City JHB!!!’
The Saturday edition of the SAFTAs will be broadcast on SABC3 on 5 April at 19h30.
