South African award-winning student film Kanye Kanye will screen at the 23rd edition of the Flickerfest International Short Film Festival from 10 to 19 January in Bondi Beach, Sydney.
This is Kanye Kanye’s Australian premiere after being selected as one of 32 international short films after the festival received more than 2,200 entries for its 2014 run.
Directed and co-written by Miklas Manneke, Kanye Kanye is a highly imaginative depiction of forbidden love in a township divided by its own rules of colour, and carries a powerful message of reconciliation and acceptance. The film was co-written by Charles Ryder and produced by Nelio da Silva.
