BREAKING NEWS: South African producer Anant Singh’s Mandela: Long Walk to
Freedom has been nominated for three Golden Globe Awards.
The nominees for Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom are Idris Elba, who plays the
role of international icon Nelson Mandela as Best Actor: Drama;
Alex Heffes for Best Original Score and U2’s Ordinary Love, especially written in honour of Mandela, for Best Original Song.
American Hustle, directed by David O. Russell and director Steve McQueen’s 12
Years a Slave each received seven nominations.
The 71st Golden Globe Awards will be held at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunday January 12, 2014 and televised live on NBC.
